We are entering the final two weeks of the 2024-25 NBA season, and the playoff picture is almost set. Certain teams have clinched their postseason berth beforehand, while the rest are either fighting for position or eliminated.
The Knicks, Grizzlies, and Nuggets are some teams jockeying for a high seed and will host the Sixers, Warriors, and Timberwolves. New York are the third seed in the Eastern Conference. Denver and Memphis are third and fifth in the tougher Western Conference.
Meanwhile, the Hawks, Bucks, Spurs, and Bulls will host the Blazers, Suns, Magic, and Raptors to round out tomorrow’s seven-game slate.

The Knicks have won four of their last five games despite playing without their point guard Jalen Brunson (ankle), who intends to play before the first round of the NBA playoffs. New York are on a two-game winning streak with recent victories against Milwaukee and Portland.
Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby stepped up during the team’s 110-93 victory against the Blazers last Sunday. They combined for 56 points, while Josh Hart, Landry Shamet, Precious Achiuwa, and Karl-Anthony Towns added 14, 11, 10, and 10 points. Delon Wright started at point guard and had seven points, four rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks in 35 minutes. He might draw another start against the Sixers.
The Sixers are officially eliminated from playoff contention, a failure because of the high expectations coming into the 2024-25 campaign. Philadelphia are on an eight-game losing streak, and the NBA 2025 odds expect their slide to continue.
Philadelphia are coming off a 127-109 loss against Toronto last Sunday despite having six players in double-digit points. Lonnie Walker IV had 23 points, three rebounds, and seven assists on 10-for-18 shooting from the field. Jalen Hood-Schifino, Ricky Council IV, Jared Butler, Adem Bona, and Justin Edwards recorded 18, 17, 15, 14, and 12 points.

Golden State Warriors @ Memphis Grizzlies
The sixth-seeded Warriors are on a two-game winning streak, while the fifth-seeded Grizzlies are on a three-game losing streak. Golden State can switch places with Memphis if they win on the road tomorrow.
Stephen Curry is back from a pelvic injury, and his return has sparked the Warriors’ purple patch. He had 23 points, four rebounds, six assists, three steals, and five three-pointers against the Pelicans last Friday and followed it up with 13 points, three rebounds, and six assists against the Spurs last Sunday. The two-time league MVP hasn’t shot well from the field in those games (11-for-31), so he’ll aim for a more efficient outing tomorrow.
Brandin Podziemski went off against San Antonio, notching 27 points (team-high), six rebounds, five assists, and seven three-pointers on 9-for-14 shooting from the field. Moses Moody, Buddy Hield, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler added 20, 19, 14, and 13 points.
The Grizzlies are still reeling from Taylor Jenkins’ sudden dismissal. Memphis are coming off a 117-103 defeat against Boston despite having five players in double-digit points. Ja Morant recorded 26 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals on 10-for-20 shooting from the field. Santi Aldama, Jaren Jackson Jr., Desmond Bane, and Jaylen Wells registered 21, 20, 12, and 10 points.

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets and Timberwolves are on two-game winning streaks but only one can stay undefeated tomorrow at Ball Arena.
Denver took the third seed in the Western Conference at 47-28 after they blew out Utah last Friday. Nikola Jokic poured in 27 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, and four steals on 8-for-18 shooting from the field and 10-for-12 from the free throw line. Michael Porter Jr., Russell Westbrook, Christian Braun, DeAndre Jordan, and Zeke Nnaji added 20, 17, 16, 11, and 10 points.
Jamal Murray (hamstring) and Aaron Gordon (calf) didn’t play against the Jazz, and both are listed as questionable to play tomorrow’s match.
The Timberwolves beat the Pistons 123-104 despite a mid-game fight that led to seven ejections. Julius Randle led with 26 points, eight rebounds, and five assists on 9-for-18 shooting from the field and a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line. Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker added 25, 19, 17, and 11 points.
